In his opening monologue on This Week, presenter Andrew Neil delivered a message to those who attacked Paris, and those who support them.
The estimated 27 victims of so-called “honor killings” each year in the U.S. don’t fit neatly into the FBI’s exhaustive Uniform Crime Reporting Statistics.
Hidden among thousands of nondescript murders and cases labeled as domestic violence are a mounting number of killings motivated by a radical and dark interpretation of Islam. Honor killings and violence, which typically see men victimize wives and daughters because of behavior that has somehow insulted their faith, are among the most secretive crimes in society, say experts.
“Cases of honor killings and/or violence in the U.S. are often unreported because of the shame it can cause to the victim and the victim’s family,” Farhana Qazi, a former U.S. government analyst and senior fellow at the Center for Advanced Studies on Terrorism, told FoxNews.com. “Also, because victims are often young women, they may feel that reporting the crime to authorities will draw too much attention to the family committing the crime.”
Sweden virtually forbids dissent on the matter of mass immigration of Muslims, castigating as racist any who complain over the skyrocketing rape rate or thetrend line showing that in 15 years, Swedes will be a minority in their own country. The state-subsidized media far outdo America’s in enforcing political correctness and denying a voice to dissenters. So perhaps it is inevitable if regrettable that protest finds other outlets. An English-language website covering Swedish news, The Local, writes:
Tiny Slovenia, with barely 2 million people, is being overrun by Muslims claiming to be refugees and expecting the infidels to provide them services promptly. When Hungary closed its border, Slovenia became the new route to Austria and Germany, but the country has been unable to respond in a way the invaders find acceptable. At least 20,000 Muslims have arrived since Saturday. If the US experienced a similar percentage influx, that would be 3.3 million people arriving and demanding services now. Breitbart reports:
Having taken away people’s guns, Germany is now taking away people’s homes. The reason: they need room for invaders. German citizens be damned!
Atlas Shrugs reports:
This video shows a mother, who works as a cleaning woman, and her daughter, who works as a nurse in a retirement home, being removed from their apartment into an emergency basement apartment for homeless people. The Muslim migrant family who moves into their apartment are still unsatisfied with the accommodations, even though they have free tv, beds, food and laundry service…

Of late it seems as though liberals on the whole are incapable of understanding how one thing can affect another. In this case, it’s the holy grail of abortion’s effect on gun violence.
Whether they recognize it or not, liberal ideology has contributed toward America devolving into a macabre death culture, where rooted in the corporate psyche is the idea that expediency trumps the sanctity of God-given life. The abortion/gun violence dichotomy arises when pro-choice advocates like Barack Obama seek to limit some weapons made of steel but heartily support an industry that also uses steel to destroy innocent life.
In other words, America is again embroiled in a crisis the left has spent decades nurturing but is now seeking to remedy.
Liberals are adamant about funding the slaughter of 4,000 human beings a day. Meanwhile, those who seek to advance abortion simultaneously insist that guns, which are inanimate objects, are responsible for killing people whom, if they were still in the womb, the left would be more than happy to exterminate.
Clearly this particular cause-and-effect principle emanates from a lopsided philosophy that discriminates with regard to deadly weapons. If deadly force is administered via a firearm, liberals are irate. However, if the weapon is a cannula, forceps, or a dilator, liberals are ecstatic.
On Monday (October 19, 2015), the Court of Appeals for the Second U.S. Circuit issued a long awaited decision on the constitutionality of the most drastic gun control law in U.S. history, the New York SAFE Act of 2013. The Second Circuit ruled that nearly all of the law does not violate the Second Amendment.
The SAFE (“Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement”) Act was presented to the New York State Senate and passed into law in 15 minutes. No debate was allowed, and senators did not have time to read the bill before voting it into law.
The SAFE Act is a complete ban on the sale or transfer of all military-style semi-automatic rifles manufactured within the past several decades. It is a total ban on the AR-15, AK-47, M-14/M-1a, HK G3, Steyr AUG, and many other civilian copies of military firearms. Prior to the passage of the law, Gov. Cuomo publicly stated that he was considering “confiscation” of existing rifles, but the final version of the law allowed existing owners to keep their rifles as long as they registered them with the State. Upon the death of the owner, the rifle will be confiscated; it cannot be transferred to an heir within New York State.
When Christians point to the violent verses in the Quran, Muslims reply, “But what about the violent verses in the Bible?”
How should we respond to this fair challenge from Muslims?
1. The violent verses in the Bible were for a specific time and place; the violent verses in the Quran are spoken in general terms.
In the Bible, God commanded Joshua to annihilate the Canaanites, meaning to kill men, women, and children, since the Canaanites were considered guilty sinners. Centuries later, during the time of King Saul, the prophet Samuel said that it was God’s will to annihilate the Amalekites because of the sins they had committed.
While these commands seem monstrous to many readers today, they cannot possibly be applied to contemporary situations and they have never been considered normative for all times in either Judaism or Christianity.

UPDATE: Read Katie’s post on how California is already a gun control-lovers paradise. Apparently, Sen. Barbara Boxer thinks that these “sensible” laws prove that gun control works. It’s an appalling lack of self-awareness
Cry havoc and unleash the dogs of war…for gun control. This appears to be the mantra of the left in the wake of the horrific mass shooting in San Bernardino. The perpetrators were officially identified yesterday as Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik, both in their late-20s, who opened fire at a Christmas party for the county’s health department workers; Farook was a county employee of five years prior to his senseless rampage. They killed 14 and wounded up to 21 people in the worst mass shooting since Newtown in 2012. They were subsequently killed in a firefight with police and both were armed with AR15 rifles.
Yet, the liberal news media saw this as an opening to make their case, yet again, for gun control. Before the suspects were identified, or a motive was established, the LA Times’ editorial board denigrated tens of millions of law-abiding gun owners by saying that our “infatuation with guns

President Obama’s speech in the wake of the San Bernardino terror attack was a step in the right direction but was he too focused on ISIS?
U.S. President Barack Obama’s December 6 speech contained few surprises and, on many points, he said the right things.
He mentioned the “I” word, admitting there is a perversion of Islam out there that resulted in last week’s San Bernardino massacre.
The president repeated his refrain about aerial strikes against the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL), which he prefers to a boots-on-the-ground approach.
He gave us the very quotable quote: “If we are to succeed in defeating terrorism, we must enlist Muslim communities as our strongest allies in rooting out misguided ideas that lead to radicalization.”
But outside of that, and a plea for all in America to use non-inciting language, his televised White House speech focused on ISIS.
